Why did Nuura switch from manual email orders to a B2B platform?
Nuura switched from manual email orders to a B2B platform because sales support spent too much time typing dealers’, architects’, and agents’ email orders into the order system by hand.
Martine Christiansen, e-commerce manager at Nuura, wanted the orders to go directly into the order system without any typing work. Nuura chose the vendor Unbox, after an earlier process with a different vendor ended up with a solution that was too heavy and expensive.
At the lighting brand Nuura, there used to be a heavy manual task waiting with sales support. Dealers, architects, and agents around Europe sent their orders by email, and each individual order had to be typed into the order system by hand.
For Martine Christiansen, e-commerce manager at Nuura, that was precisely the burden that needed to be lifted. The solution had to make it fast and easy to get orders off one’s hands, whether standing down in the store or out visiting a customer. And it had to ensure that the orders went directly into the order system instead of taking a detour through typing work.
Nuura is a Danish lighting brand that has existed since 2017, and which designs lamp collections based on Nordic nature. The B2B market covers a broad network of dealers: physical stores, e-tailers, and a presence in more than 40 countries.
